Frequently Asked Questions

Most insurance companies recognize the value and cost savings of allowing you direct access to your Physical Therapist. The majority of patients can access physical therapy directly without seeing a physician first.
Medicare, Tricare, and Labor and Industries are the main exceptions to this rule and do require a prescription in order for physical therapy to be a covered service. If you are unsure as to whether your specific insurance carrier or plan requires a referral from your physician, give us a call - we can help!

Once we have your insurance information, our front office staff will look up coverage benefits specific to your individual plan. This way, there are never any unexpected surprises once you begin treatment.
This includes any deductibles, coinsurance or copays that you can expect to be responsible for.
-
Each insurance plan specifies an allowable number of covered Physical Therapy visits in a calendar year.
If your particular insurance plan has a specified number of allowable visits, our front office staff will include this information in your insurance benefit packet, or upon request.
